●年度が替わる enter a new 《fiscal, academic》 year

・担当者が替わる have a new person in charge.

●あの会社は社長が替わった. The company has had a change of president.

・喫茶店だった店がラーメン屋に替わった. What was once a coffeehouse has turned into a noodle shop.

・彼女と席を替わって窓際にすわった. I changed seats with her and sat down next to the window.

・電車で老人と席を替わった. He gave his seat on the train to an elderly person.
